What’s your style?
I strive for Lisa Bonet in A Different World with a mix of a 90’s Winona Ryder á la Reality Bites. Definitely casual and feminine with a hint of edge.
Why did you try Ready Pretty and how has it helped?
I was inspired to try Ready Pretty because it was the perfect solution for my wardrobe misgivings. I hate to shop in stores (especially with my two kids in tow) but I’m a big fan of online shopping. However, I get so overwhelmed with the endless options. Ready Pretty has been amazing. My stylist intuitively knew what would work for me and selected beautiful pieces that I normally wouldn’t have picked for myself.
What's your favorite Ready Pretty pick?
The one thing that stands out is a short-cropped denim jacket. I would never have thought to buy a denim jacket for myself, but it has so much versatility. I can throw it on over dresses, casual tops; this simple jacket has the ability to create transform an outfit. I find it more versatile than my go-to black leather jacket.
After a long day how do you like to unwind?
Sitting on the couch with my husband watching TV, preferably Game of Thrones.
If you could meet any woman for lunch who would it be and what would you order?
I would love to have lunch with the founders of TheEveryGirl.com and pick their brains on how they developed such an amazing site. I’ve been a huge fan of the site for years and it has influenced how I run ModernBrownGirl.com. I would order sushi and a cocktail.
Ready Pretty Quick Fire - Which Would You Rather?
Jeans or Dresses?
Girls night in or girls night out?
Girl’s night in
Dinner date or date at the ballpark?
Brights or neutrals?
Sneakers or heels?
Mountains or beach?
Both! I lived in Los Angeles for many years and I often contemplated, beach vs. the hills. They are both beautiful in their own unique ways.
Aiden or Big?
Aiden was so great to Carrie, stable and loving. I guess Carrie thrived on drama, but I don’t. I would have chosen Aiden, or stayed single. She didn’t need a man to complete her. She was amazing all on her own.
