As 2017 comes to an end, we are so excited to embrace the new year and take advantage of what 2018 has to offer. First off, we’ve got a new look (did you notice?), but more on that later in an upcoming post...
Is one of your new year’s resolutions to try and elevate your style? Maybe it’s to get out the door faster and more confident in your outfit? Maybe it’s simple to feel good in what you’re wearing every single day? We hear you. And are here to help.
According to our research, we learned that 21 days makes a habit. And 1/1 is all about habit-making. That’s why for the entire month of January, we’re sharing 21 days of style and fashion tips that can help you achieve your wardrobe goals (aka feel good, and look cool in the new year.)
The best part is that each week of the month has a different theme. Up first? We’re focusing on your workout wardrobe (because aren’t we all trying to get healthy in the new year?), the second on work outfits, then your weekend looks, and finally style for when you want to step it up a notch.
Head over to Instagram and tag, DM or use the hashtag #RPStyleTips to share how you’re using our tips each day and we’ll be sure to share on our InstaStories (and it also gets you an additional bonus entry into our giveaway)
In addition to tips for each week, there will be an Instagram giveaway specific to the theme! Each giveaway will consist of one our Ready Pretty Midi Styling packages (10 amazing wardrobe pieces, selected just for you!), a piece from a brand related to the theme of the week, as well as a $100 AmEx gift card to kick off their shopping experience! All you have to do to enter is check our Instagram for the giveaway post each week, follow us, like the post, and comment tagging a friend! We are SO excited for the new year, and hope you’re excited for the new (more stylish) you that comes with it!
Check out all of our tips below and follow along on Instagram and Facebook over the next 21 days!
Week 1: Work Out in Style
Almost everyone’s new year resolution is to hit the gym more and take care of their bodies the way they deserve to be treated. And because it’s almost everyone’s resolution, we all know that it can be so, so, so hard to keep up with. Let’s face it. But you know how to get yourself to the gym more often? Wear an outfit you love that MAKES you want to go the gym! I promise if you have a super cute pair of leggings that you are obsessed with you will want to throw them on and go for that run just so you can wear them! So yes, fashion can really help you with your fitness goals!
Here are a few tips we have for making sure you are working your workout clothes.
- Pick out your clothes the night before
- Invest in a workout outfit that actually makes you want to workout
- Invest in cute sneakers that you can wear to the gym and everywhere else
- Layer your workout looks
- Play portions - Opt for different lengths (think high rise leggings, and midi bras) to amp up your workout look.
Week 2: Work it at Work
Leave the boring collared shirt and black dress pants in 2017. Just because you’re at work, doesn’t mean you can’t be stylish! There are so many ways to make your work outfits look so good you can wow people both in the workplace, and out! Check out some of our tips.
- Add a belt over a blazer
- Put a turtleneck under your summer sheath dress to make it work for winter

Week 3: Upgrade Your Weekend Wardrobe
Just because it’s the weekend and you finally get to dress more casual, doesn’t mean you have to resort to sweatpants and slides! Here at Ready Pretty we make sure the weekend is full of outfits that are comfy but still have that wow factor. It’s not that hard!
Here are some of the ways we translate our style into the weekend.
- Try a half tuck
- Pajama shirt with jeans

Week 4: Dress It Up
Struggling with outfits for a night out and always find yourself circling back to the same “fancy top”? It’s time for a change.
Here are some ways you can spice up your looks!
- Weather-proof your leather and suedes
- Master the art of rolling your sleeves
- Try a fresh color combo: navy and black, brown and black, red and pink -
- Try a monochromatic look
- Try an arm party. Add a ton of complementary bracelets to your arm and keep the rest of your jewelry understated.
