The Coolest Shopify Updates From This Summer 2023

The recent updates rolled out by Shopify have left us genuinely impressed. It's not just about staying up-to-date; it's about utilizing these enhancements to offer even better solutions for our clients that ultimately provide a better experience for their customers. We wanted to share our favorites so you can benefit too. You can read Shopify’s updates overview linked here. If you're looking to leverage these enhancements for your own brand or business, reach out to us at hello@readypretty.com to get started. With The Tune Up - our website enhancements offering, we help brands like yours refresh your site while also optimizing your backend functionality.

Shopify Bundles App

With Shopify’s new free bundle app you can increase your average order value, curate a better buyer experience, and sync inventory in real-time to offer bundled products to your customers. Offer an increased discount as customers bundle more products. Our client, Mightly, is currently using a similar bundling app to offer Back To School discounted bundles for a limited time. We have leveraged this promotion in their email campaigns for new purchase opportunities that drive larger conversions.

Shopify Subscription App

Another app that we can’t wait to try out is the new Shopify subscription app. It has not been released just yet, but you can sign up to test the beta. We love subscriptions because they help increase recurring revenue and build customer loyalty.

New Options for Discount Combinations and Stacking

This new feature appears to provide greater flexibility in applying discounts to orders and products, allowing for more creative and effective marketing campaigns. In the past, discounts might have had limitations that prevented certain combinations or stacking of offers. With this update, Shopify seems to be addressing those limitations. By allowing the combination of discounts, Shopify is catering to the diverse needs of users who want to experiment with various discounting strategies to boost sales, incentivize larger orders, and increase customer loyalty

Shopify Storefronts are 30% Faster

This is great news for everybody! Without doing anything at all - your online storefront is now 30% faster. Around the world, everyone will start seeing their Shopify-powered websites working even faster. It's important to note that website speed can play a significant role in user engagement and search engine rankings. By making storefronts faster, Shopify can help its users stay competitive in the ever-growing online market. All of their storefronts benefit and we couldn’t be more excited!

Customize your Reporting and Analytics Dashboard

Now you can customize your analytics dashboard and filter the analysis report. Before this update everything was static. By dragging and dropping boxes, you can prioritize the metrics that are most important to you and your business goals. This level of customization can make it easier to identify key insights, track important trends, and ultimately make more informed decisions.

Build Web Pages With Metaobjects

Use metaobjects to build landing pages for your website. For example, if you have an ambassador program, you can create a web page for each ambassador with a biography, social media links, and images. Or, use it for individual product FAQs to add additional details to your product set.

Customize Your Shop App Experience

Be sure to customize and optimize your Shop App sales channel experience. Not sure what we’re talking about? It’s a Shopify sales channel that allows your products to be displayed among other brands where millions of people can find your product. With these new updates, you can personalize your native mobile store, and legitimize your brand in just a few simple steps. Customize your Shop App store with rich media headers and showcase your inventory with customizable collections, categories, and navigational features.

Expand Your Inventory With Shopify Collective

Looking to expand your inventory? Shopify has now rolled out a super exciting feature where you can partner with other brands to sell their products on your site - allowing you to expand your inventory without all of the headaches of actually managing that inventory share. Discover quality products from brands that will ship directly to your customers.

If you have any questions about how to make the most of these new features, or if you feel like your site needs a bit of a refresh, get in touch at hello@readypretty.com.
